Notes
The Gen4 MOS was Glock's first answer to the growing demand for factory optics-ready competition pistols. The MOS system uses four adapter plates to cover the most popular red dot footprints. The Gen4 MOS was superseded by the Gen5 MOS, which added the Marksman Barrel, nDLC finish, and ambidextrous slide stop. Despite being discontinued, many Gen4 MOS pistols remain in active competition use.
Background
The G34 Gen4 MOS arrived at a pivotal moment in competitive shooting. USPSA had just created the Carry Optics division in 2014, and the G34 MOS was perfectly positioned to dominate. It became one of the most popular platforms in the new division, combining the G34's proven competition pedigree with factory optic mounting. The transition from irons to dots was happening fast, and Glock's MOS system ensured the G34 stayed at the forefront of the revolution.
