The G43X MOS optic cut uses the Shield RMSc pattern, which is narrower than the full-size RMR cut used on standard-frame Glock MOS models. This accommodates micro-compact red dots designed for slim-profile slides. The slim mounting rail accepts compact weapon-mounted lights like the Streamlight TLR-7 Sub. With aftermarket Shield Arms S15 steel magazines, the G43X MOS achieves 15+1 capacity -- equaling the G19 -- in a package nearly a quarter-inch thinner and with a red dot optic. This combination has made the G43X MOS one of the most popular concealed carry setups in America.
Background
The G43X MOS answered the single biggest complaint about the original G43X: the lack of a factory optic cut. When Glock finally added the MOS slide and slim rail to the G43X, the aftermarket response was immediate -- Shield Arms S15 magazines paired with a Holosun 507K red dot became the most popular concealed carry combination in America. The G43X MOS with S15 magazines offered 15+1 rounds of 9mm with a red dot optic in a package slimmer than the Glock 19, fundamentally changing what concealed carriers expected from a carry gun.
