Also known as: SR-25 E2 Combat Carbine, KAC SR-25 CC, SR-25 E2 CC M-LOK
Overview
The Knight's Armament SR-25 E2 CC (Combat Carbine) is a compact variant of the legendary SR-25 platform, chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO with a shortened 16-inch chrome-lined barrel. Designed for operators who require the precision of a designated marksman rifle in a more maneuverable package, the E2 CC retains the sub-MOA accuracy the SR-25 line is known for while reducing overall length and weight. The rifle features KAC's proprietary M-LOK handguard system, an enhanced E2 bolt carrier for improved reliability, and a two-stage match trigger. Its gas-operated rotating bolt action provides smooth, reliable cycling even in adverse conditions, making it well-suited for close-quarters battle scenarios where intermediate-range precision is still required.

Notes
The E2 CC represents Knight's Armament's answer to the growing demand for compact 7.62mm platforms among special operations units. The 'CC' designation stands for Combat Carbine, distinguishing it from the longer APR (Advanced Precision Rifle) and APC (Advanced Precision Carbine) variants. The shorter 16-inch barrel trades some muzzle velocity compared to the 20-inch APR but offers significantly improved handling in vehicle operations and urban environments. The rifle uses standard SR-25 pattern magazines and is compatible with KAC's QDC suppressor system.
Background
The SR-25 E2 CC carries forward the legacy of Eugene Stoner's original design philosophy of combining AR-15 ergonomics with 7.62mm firepower, now refined into the most compact and lightweight iteration of the SR-25 family for modern combat requirements.
