Overview
The MTs-116 is a Russian single-shot bolt-action match rifle developed by the Central Design Bureau for Sporting and Hunting Arms (TsKIB SOO) in Tula. Chambered in 7.62x54mmR, it was built for high-power competition shooting at 100 and 300 meters and was used by Russian shooting teams in international matches. Its heavy free-floated barrel, hand-fitted action, adjustable trigger and target stock with adjustable buttplate and cheek rest give it match-grade accuracy. The rifle formed the basis for the MTs-116M law-enforcement sniper rifle developed in 1997.
