The Pindad SS1-R5 Raider is a compact special-forces carbine sub-variant of the Indonesian SS1, itself a license-built derivative of the FN FNC. With a 249 mm barrel and skeletonized side-folding stock, the R5 is the lightest and slimmest of the SS1 family, intended for special infantry Raider battalions, Kostrad, and Kopassus operations including jungle, mountain, marsh, sea and urban warfare. It accepts standard SS1 magazines and a wide variety of optics.
