Overview
The Retay Gordion Slug is the deer-hunting member of the Gordion inertia semi-automatic line, set up to throw slugs accurately at close to medium ranges. It carries a 24-inch barrel with an integral cantilever optics mount that places a scope or red dot directly over the receiver, plus TruGlo dovetail front and adjustable rear sights for shooters who prefer irons. The action is Retay's patented Inertia Plus rotating bolt, which locks closed against a knock to the bolt and so avoids the out-of-battery misfires that can dog ordinary inertia guns. Chambered for both 12- and 20-gauge 3-inch shells and offered in black synthetic or Mossy Oak Country DNA, it gives whitetail hunters a fast-cycling, low-maintenance slug gun.
