Overview
The Ruger American Predator is a bolt-action hunting rifle built on Sturm, Ruger & Co.'s American Rifle platform and aimed at varmint and predator hunters. The 6.5 Creedmoor chambering, introduced in 2016, pairs a medium-contour 22-inch threaded barrel with a moss-green synthetic stock, a one-piece aluminum scope rail, and Ruger's Power Bedding integral bedding-block system that free-floats the barrel. It uses a full-diameter three-lug bolt with a 70-degree throw, a tang-mounted safety, a flush-fit detachable rotary magazine, and the user-adjustable Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger.

Background
The Ruger American Rifle was launched in 2011 as Ruger's answer to the budget bolt-action market; the Predator variant added hunter-focused features like a threaded barrel and free-floated medium barrel, and the 6.5 Creedmoor chambering helped make it a favorite affordable long-range and precision-hunting rifle.
