Ruger PC Carbine SBR
Sturm, Ruger & Co. · Carbine · In Production · 2026
Also known as: PC Carbine SBR, Model 39101
Overview
The Ruger PC Carbine SBR is a factory short-barreled, takedown version of the 9mm PC Carbine introduced in 2026 as part of Ruger's NFA SBR lineup (Model 39101). It pairs a 6.5-inch cold-hammer-forged, 1/2"-28 threaded barrel with a CNC-machined aerospace-grade aluminum receiver, a Cerakote finish, a six-position telescoping Magpul stock, and a free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard. The takedown design separates the barrel/forend from the action for compact storage, and interchangeable magazine wells let it run Ruger SR-Series/Security-9 or Glock-pattern magazines, shipping with a 17-round magazine.

Background
By combining the PC Carbine's takedown breakdown with a 6.5-inch barrel, the SBR collapses into two stubby halves small enough to disappear into a daypack, then reassemble into a registered short-barreled rifle in seconds.
