Also known as: X-Carry, P320 XCarry, P320 X-Carry Legion, P320 X-Carry Spectre

Overview

The SIG Sauer P320 X-Carry is a striker-fired, semi-automatic compact pistol designed for everyday carry, built on the modular P320 platform. Debuted at SHOT Show 2017 and shipped in 2018, the X-Carry shares the same carry-size frame dimensions as the military M18 compact variant but incorporates SIG's enhanced X-Series features. It pairs a compact 3.9-inch barrel and slide with a full-size grip frame that accepts 17-round flush-fit magazines, providing an optimal balance between concealability and capacity. Key X-Series enhancements over the standard P320 include a flat-faced trigger for improved trigger-finger leverage, an extended beavertail and undercut trigger guard for a higher grip, an optics-ready slide milled for the SIG ROMEO1 reflex sight, and SIG X-Ray3 tritium day/night sights. The slide features a distinctive trapezoidal lightening cut forward of the ejection port to reduce reciprocating mass. Available in 9mm Parabellum, .357 SIG, and .40 S&W through the P320 modular caliber exchange system, the X-Carry has been adopted by the Danish Armed Forces and selected by Switzerland for military service.

Notes

The X-Carry debuted at SHOT Show in January 2017 but did not ship to consumers until mid-2018. It shares the same fire control unit (FCU) as all P320 variants, which is the legally serialized component and can be swapped between different grip modules, slides, and caliber kits. The grip frame length matches the compact P320 but is slightly deeper to accommodate flush-fit 17-round magazines (same as the full-size model), giving it a capacity advantage over similarly sized competitors like the Glock 19 (15 rounds). The X-Carry Legion variant adds a tungsten-infused TXG grip module for increased weight and reduced muzzle flip, a 4.6-inch threaded barrel, adjustable XRAY3 sights, and Legion Gray PVD finish. The Spectre variant features SIG Custom Works enhancements including a laser-engraved slide and custom flat trigger. Unlike the military M17, the X-Carry does not include a manual thumb safety, relying instead on internal striker and disconnect safeties.

Background

The X-Carry debuted at SHOT Show 2017 but did not ship until mid-2018, building anticipation among concealed carry enthusiasts. It pairs a compact slide with a full-size grip, achieving 17+1 capacity in a package smaller than competitors like the Glock 19, and was selected by Switzerland as their military sidearm in 2024.
