SIG Sauer P365 SAS
SIG Sauer · Pistol · In Production · 2019
Also known as: P365 SAS, P365 SIG Anti-Snag
Overview
The SIG Sauer P365 SAS (SIG Anti-Snag) is a deep concealment variant of the P365 designed to eliminate every possible snag point for the smoothest draw from concealment. Introduced in 2019, the SAS features a radical slide treatment where all sharp edges, protrusions, and controls are dehorned or made flush with the slide profile. The traditional three-dot sight system is replaced by a proprietary FT Bullseye fiber-tritium night sight flush-mounted into the rear of the slide, providing both daytime fiber optic brightness and nighttime tritium illumination without any protruding sight post. The slide and barrel are ported at the muzzle position to help reduce muzzle rise, with the ports also replacing the front sight location. The slide catch and takedown levers are recessed flush with the frame, creating completely smooth sides. Chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum with a 10-round flush-fit magazine, the P365 SAS maintains the same compact dimensions and weight as the standard P365 while achieving the ultimate snag-free concealed carry profile.

Notes
The FT Bullseye sight is a unique sighting system that uses a concentric circle design - the shooter aligns a green ring over the target. While innovative for concealment, many shooters find it less intuitive than traditional sights, especially at longer distances. The SAS represents SIG's most aggressive approach to eliminating draw snags and has been adopted primarily by deep concealment practitioners who prioritize speed of presentation over precision aiming capability. The ported slide and barrel help redirect gases upward to reduce muzzle flip but can produce more flash in low-light conditions.
Background
The SAS designation stands for 'SIG Anti-Snag' and represents the most aggressive dehorning treatment SIG offers. The proprietary FT Bullseye sight was developed specifically for the SAS line, replacing traditional sights with a flush-mounted fiber-tritium concentric circle system. This approach was controversial among shooters - praised by deep concealment advocates but criticized by those who found the sighting system difficult to use at distance.
