SIG Sauer P365 XMACRO TACOPS
SIG Sauer · Pistol · In Production · 2023
Also known as: P365-XMACRO TACOPS, P365 XMACRO Tactical Operations
Overview
The SIG Sauer P365 XMACRO TACOPS is the tactical operations variant of the P365 XMACRO platform, designed to maximize the capabilities of the macro-compact form factor without an integrated compensator. Featuring a P365XL-length 3.7-inch barrel mounted in an optic-ready stainless steel slide, the TACOPS delivers improved ballistic performance and sight radius over standard P365 models. The macro-compact polymer grip module accommodates a 17-round flush-fit double-stack magazine - four of which are included with the pistol - giving it a total capacity of 17+1 rounds. XRAY3 day/night sights provide rapid target acquisition in all lighting conditions, while the compact-footprint optic cut accepts micro red dot sights like the SIG ROMEO-X Compact. A standard M1913 Picatinny rail on the dust cover allows mounting of weapon lights and laser aiming devices. The TACOPS includes an extended slide catch lever for faster manipulation and a flared detachable magwell for improved reload speed. Interchangeable small, medium, and large backstraps customize the grip to the shooter's hand.

Notes
The TACOPS differs from the standard P365 XMACRO primarily in the longer 3.7-inch barrel (vs. 3.1-inch with integrated compensator on the standard XMACRO) and the inclusion of four 17-round magazines instead of two. The TACOPS does not feature a threaded barrel in its standard configuration, despite the tactical designation. The extended barrel provides a slight velocity advantage and longer sight radius compared to the compensated XMACRO, while the absence of the compensator keeps the slide profile cleaner for holster compatibility. The TACOPS grip module features the same macro-compact dimensions as the standard XMACRO.
Background
The TACOPS designation in SIG Sauer's lineup denotes models optimized for tactical operations with enhanced features like extended magazines and duty-oriented accessories. The P365 XMACRO TACOPS bridges the gap between a concealed carry pistol and a full-size duty weapon, offering 17+1 capacity in a package that remains concealable for larger-framed shooters. The four included magazines reflect its positioning as a training and tactical tool rather than a display piece.
