Overview
The SIG Sauer P365 XMacro is a macro-compact striker-fired pistol introduced in 2022 that combines full-size capacity with concealed-carry dimensions. Building on the revolutionary P365 platform, the XMacro features an all-new Macro-Compact grip module that accommodates flush-fit 17-round double-stack steel magazines, delivering 17+1 capacity in a package just 1.1 inches wide. The defining feature is SIG's integrally compensated optic-ready slide, where the slide extends beyond the 3.1-inch barrel with machined ports that redirect propellant gases upward to reduce muzzle flip, all without increasing the barrel length or requiring a separate compensator attachment. The slide is optics-ready with a Shield RMSc footprint for direct-mount micro red dot sights. At 21.5 ounces unloaded and 6.6 inches overall, the XMacro remains remarkably concealable for its capacity, with a slim profile that hides under a cover garment as easily as many single-stack pistols. Standard features include XRAY3 day/night sights with a 5.1-inch sight radius, a flat-faced trigger, M1913 Picatinny accessory rail, front and rear slide serrations, interchangeable small/medium/large backstraps, extended beavertail with deep undercut trigger guard, reversible magazine release, and striker status indicator. The pistol ships with two 17-round steel magazines with high-visibility followers.

The P365 XMacro was SIG Sauer's response to market demand for higher capacity in the concealed carry segment. The integrally compensated slide is a distinctive engineering solution - rather than a threaded barrel compensator or barrel porting, SIG extended the slide forward of the barrel and machined gas ports into it. This allows the barrel to be removed normally for cleaning without disassembling a separate comp unit. The compensator becomes more effective with hotter ammunition, meaning defensive loads benefit most from the reduced muzzle flip. The 17-round capacity matches or exceeds many compact and even full-size pistols while maintaining the P365's thin 1.1-inch profile. The grip module is slightly taller than the standard P365 at 5.2 inches to accommodate the longer magazines. The XMacro uses the same serialized fire control unit as other P365 variants, maintaining modularity across the platform. The trigger pull measures approximately 5.5-6 lbs (24-27 N). One noted drawback is that the ported slide creates significantly more blast and concussion at indoor ranges. The TACOPS variant adds a threaded barrel and 21-round extended magazines. MSRP is approximately $800-$900 depending on configuration.
Background
The P365 XMacro represents the logical evolution of SIG Sauer's micro-compact revolution. When the original P365 proved that 10+1 rounds could fit in a pocket-sized pistol, the XMacro asked 'what if we pushed it to 17+1?' The integrally compensated slide was SIG's answer to the concealed carry community's desire for soft-shooting, high-capacity carry guns - delivering what was previously only possible with full-size duty pistols in a package slim enough to vanish under a t-shirt.
