Overview
The SR-1 Vektor, also known as the Gyurza or Serdyukov SPS, is a Russian 9x21mm Gyurza semi-automatic pistol developed at TsNIITochMash to penetrate body armour and light vehicle protection. It uses a short-recoil, locked-breech action with an automatic grip safety, a hammer-fired mechanism and an 18-round double-stack magazine, and serves with Russian special forces and protective services.

Notes
Service-issued as the SPS (Samozaryadny Pistolet Serdyukova). The improved SR-1M added an accessory rail and modified controls; the SR-1MP further adds a Picatinny rail.
Background
Nicknamed 'Gyurza' after a venomous viper, the SPS became known as the pistol carried by Russian presidential bodyguards, prized for a 9x21mm cartridge able to defeat body armour at typical handgun ranges.
