Overview

The Stevens 560 Field is an affordable gas-operated semi-automatic hunting shotgun chambered in 12 gauge, introduced in 2023 under Savage Arms' value-priced Stevens brand. It combines a lightweight 7075 aluminum-alloy receiver and hard chrome-lined barrel with a Turkish walnut stock and forend, a raised ventilated rib with a fiber-optic front sight and mid-bead, and a three-choke (IC, IM, F) tube set. The 3-inch chamber cycles both 2 3/4-inch and 3-inch loads.

Background

The Stevens name dates to J. Stevens Arms & Tool Company of 1864 and survives today as Savage Arms' budget label; the imported 560 revived it for a sub-$500 gas semi-auto aimed squarely at first-time waterfowl and upland hunters.
