The TX9 builds on the commercial success of the TX22 rimfire pistol platform, extending its shooter-focused ergonomics and trigger feel to a centerfire duty pistol. The modular chassis system competes directly with the SIG Sauer P320 and Springfield Echelon modular platforms. All three TX9 sizes share consistent ergonomics, trigger feel, and optic-cut geometry. The 1:16.5-inch right-hand twist rate is optimized for standard 115-147 grain 9mm loads.

The TX9 represents Taurus' bold entry into the duty-grade pistol market after decades of being perceived primarily as a budget brand.
