Walther PDP Pro-E
Carl Walther GmbH · Pistol · In Production · 2024
Also known as: PDP Pro Entry
Overview
The Walther PDP Pro-E is a striker-fired, short-recoil-operated 9x19mm semi-automatic pistol introduced in 2024 as the value-oriented "Pro Entry" model in Walther's Performance Duty Pistol family. Offered in Full Size (4.5-inch barrel) and Compact (4-inch barrel), it brings Pro-series upgrades down to an entry price point: a flared aluminum magazine well, three magazines with extended polymer base pads, an enhanced flat-faced Dynamic Performance Trigger (E-DPT), and a fully optics-ready slide cut, while economizing with a standard non-threaded barrel and polymer trigger shoe.

Notes
Pro-E (Pro Entry) bridges the gap between the base PDP and the premium PDP Pro SD. The Full Size carries 20+1 with extended mags; the Compact carries 18+1. Official Walther empty weight for the Full Size 4.5-inch is 24 oz (~680 g); some retailers list 26-27 oz carry-ready.
Background
The PDP line was developed with input from competitive shooter and trainer Gunsite-circle instructors, and the Pro-E exists to put that "Performance Duty" handling - the flared mag well and flat trigger that normally cost extra - into the hands of buyers who can't stretch to the threaded-barrel Pro SD.
