ZEV FDP-Pistol
ZEV Technologies · Pistol · In Production · 2026
Also known as: FDP-P, Folding Defensive Platform Pistol
Overview
The ZEV FDP-Pistol is the non-NFA, brace-less pistol configuration of the Folding Defensive Platform, a 9x19mm design developed by ZEV Technologies with Magpul. A ZEV OZ9 operating system sits inside a Magpul folding chassis that collapses the 21-inch gun to roughly 11 inches, and the trigger mechanism is mechanically disabled while folded so it can be carried loaded. It feeds from Glock-pattern magazines.

Background
Magpul first showed a folding 9mm - the FMG-9 concept - in 2008 as a briefcase gun that looked like a joke. Nearly two decades later the folding-PCC idea shipped for real as the ZEV/Magpul FDP.
