Overview
The Rigby Shikari is a boxlock double rifle inspired by nineteenth-century colonial-era Rigby boxlocks. Built on a robust Anson & Deeley action, it features a classic Rigby quarter rib, front sight block, circle-jointed doll's head top extension, and Rigby grip-catch forend release. The barrels are regulated to 50 yards with the client's choice of ammunition. Available in Grade 5 Turkish walnut as standard, with the Special Edition upgrading to Grade 9 walnut with full scroll engraving and a traditional oak and leather case.

Background
The Shikari name evokes the era of British colonial hunting in India, where 'shikari' referred to the expert native guides who accompanied European hunters on tiger and dangerous game hunts - many of whom carried Rigby rifles.
