We want our catalog to be accurate and to respect the rights of manufacturers, rights holders, and individuals. This page explains how to request a correction to, or removal of, a firearm listing, image, or other content on GunSpec.io.

1. Who Can Request
Manufacturers and brand owners, copyright and other rights holders, and individuals with a legal basis (such as a privacy or defamation concern, or a valid legal order) may submit a request.
2. How to Submit a Request
Email [email protected] with: (1) the exact page or item, including a direct URL; (2) what you would like corrected or removed and why; (3) the legal or factual basis for your request; and (4) where you are acting on behalf of a company or rights holder, evidence of your authority to do so. We may ask for additional information to verify your request.
3. Factual Corrections
If a specification or other detail is inaccurate, tell us what it should be and, where possible, point us to an authoritative source such as a manufacturer publication. We prioritise correcting verifiable errors, though we cannot guarantee a specific timeline.
4. Grounds for Removal
We will consider removing or restricting content where it infringes intellectual property rights, is required by a valid legal order or by law, raises legitimate privacy or defamation concerns, is materially inaccurate, or upon a reasonable request from the relevant manufacturer or rights holder. We balance such requests against the public interest in maintaining an accurate reference resource.

6. Response Times
We aim to acknowledge requests within a reasonable period and to act on valid requests promptly. Complex requests, or those requiring verification of authority, may take longer.
